Private message to Reynard
Jul. 15th, 2015 02:05 pmThere's some information I'd like about Rigel. Surely Bellatrix doesn't keep him by her side night and day; she's not very maternal, outside her own press releases.
First, who watches over him? There's a nanny named Mrs Baylock; anyone else? If there's an Enforcer, which one? (Or which ones?) Anyone else regularly spend time around him?
Second, does he wear any jewelry -- a bracelet, say?
I listened to Ginny Weasley's broadcast today. She sounded ... sincere. Almost like herself. It's a bit unnerving. Her family's hoping this means she's no longer being tortured. Have you seen her at all?

Date: 2015-07-16 03:05 am (UTC)If you're hoping to get back Ginny Weasley by snatching Lady Lestrange's son, I wouldn't advise it. No one sees much of the boy unless his mummy's using him for one thing or another. He's also Palace-bound. Doesn't venture beyond the gardens.
And yes, he's got his nanny but he's also got Hartley and Kennard, too. You wouldn't know Kennard--he joined after your dramatic departure. Oh, and there is a bracelet (more like a cuff, say). I assume it's some kind of minding device so that Lady Lestrange can find him if she needs to.

Oh, and they're always in animal form when they're with Rigel. People are saying that animagi have some resistance to Rigel's gift, but only while in their animal state.

Date: 2015-07-16 03:38 am (UTC)Yes, it is, isn't it? Seems legilimens can resist him, too. That's the only reason I can see for Lady Lestrange being completely immune when pretty much no one else is.

Date: 2015-07-16 03:19 am (UTC)I did make it to the Palace for lunch and she was in one of the dining rooms with Dolohov. Her wireless interview was just over, I think. They were both eating and both appeared to be visibly just fine. Ginny also projected feeling fine, too, though when Dolohov reached for his wand to mop something up, she flinched. I could see it from where I was sitting.
Her mind also had a huge burst of terror, and there was an image of Dolohov inside of it, a memory from earlier in the week. He was standing over her, wand in hand, looking utterly mournful about something.
And then Dolohov (the one who was eating, not the one in her memory) put his wand down and she relaxed and was fine once more.
As to what Dolohov was thinking and feeling: he was tired. Not just physically but in spirit, too. But when he looked at Ginny his thoughts became satisfied, then calculating. But in a non-threatening way. I think he might've been deciding how to reward her because he was replaying her oh-so-successful interview in his mind.
